Time Walking With Montblanc
One of the great things about YouTube and social media is the immediate feedback we receive from the audience. Lately my comments section had a reoccurring theme with requests to see more watches on the channel, it's no real surprise as there is no denying or escaping the direct alignment and overlap of watches and the car world.
Conveniently this years Goodwood Festival Of Speed had teamed up with Montblanc to become the official timing partner of the Festival and log the hill climb racing times. So what better time to try a new watch than the Festival Of Speed weekend!?
This year, at the festival, Montblanc launched a new watch series called 'Timewalker' featuring two new limited edition models presented during Goodwood and in a few selected boutiques – a Manufacture Chronograph and an Automatic Date
Models inspired by the colour of the tropical dial effect – being with brown counters and brown flanges, fondly nicknamed the “Cappuccinos” because of their warm and harmonious colour scheme.
I wore the Chronograph during the Festival Of Speed, both during the day and for the famous Goodwood Ball. It was an ideal partner during Goodwood - combining legendary timing instruments of the past with the spirit of motor racing, encapsulating the Minerva heritage and its tradition of horological timekeeping innovation.
It felt at home surrounded by both modern and classic supercars and surprisingly it was just as good paired with jeans and a t-shirt during the day as it was with the tuxedo in the evening for the ball.
